Prof Roderick Clifton-Bligh (Head of Medical Advisory Board)

Dr. Roderick Clifton Bligh (“Rory”) is a renowned endocrinologist and medical researcher. He is a professor of medicine at the University of Sydney and leads the Endocrine Genetics Laboratory at the Royal North Shore Hospital. Dr. Clifton-Bligh’s research focuses on the genetic causes of endocrine disorders, including hypoparathyroidism, and he has been instrumental in the development of new treatments for these conditions.
The medical advisory board will work closely with Dr. Clifton-Bligh and the executive of CaSR Patient Support to provide expert advice and guidance on the treatment and management of hypoparathyroidism. Members of the board will be expected to contribute their knowledge and experience to support the development of new treatment options, as well as to provide guidance on best practices for managing the condition, as well as assist with recruiting affected patients and families to build an engaged and motivated subscriber base. The ultimate goal is to gain a unified front for purposes of patient advocacy and lobbying.
