Common Questions
Find quick answers about our organisation, how to get involved, and what support is available.
What is CaSR Patient Support?
CaSR Patient Support is an ACNC-registered Australian health promotion charity. We advocate for patients and families affected by non-surgical genetic hypoparathyroidism and Autosomal Dominant Hypocalcemia Type 1 (ADH1) caused by CASR gene mutations. Our work spans patient education, calcilytic research advocacy, and health policy engagement.
How can I get involved?
There are many ways to support our mission: volunteer your professional skills, share your patient story, help with fundraising, or spread the word about CaSR disorders. Visit our Get Involved page for current opportunities.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. CaSR Patient Support is an ACNC-registered health promotion charity. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible for Australian taxpayers. You will receive a receipt for your records.
I’ve been diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism. Where do I start?
Start with our Patient Resources page, which includes guides for newly diagnosed patients, information about genetic testing, and an overview of current and emerging treatments. If you have questions, please reach out using the form above — we’re here to help.
How do I join the Medical Advisory Board?
Our Medical Advisory Board comprises clinicians and researchers with expertise in calcium-sensing receptor disorders. If you are a healthcare professional interested in contributing, please contact us using the form above or email enquiries@casr.org.au with your expression of interest and CV.
Can I share my patient story?
