Our Story
CaSR Patient Support is an ACNC-registered Australian health promotion charity for non‑surgical genetic hypoparathyroidism and ADH1 caused by CASR gene mutations.
Why We Exist
CaSR Patient Support advances treatment for non‑surgical genetic hypoparathyroidism and ADH1 by educating patients, championing calcilytic research, and advocating for policy change.
Our Vision
A future where every Australian with a CaSR gain‑of‑function disorder has access to safe, effective, cause‑directed treatment.
What Guides Us
Five principles that shape every decision we make.
Patient-Centred
Patients and families are at the heart of everything we do. Their needs guide our advocacy, resources, and research priorities.
Scientific Rigour
We base our advocacy and communications on peer-reviewed evidence and expert clinical guidance.
Transparency
Open governance, clear financial reporting, and honest communication with our community and stakeholders.
Collaboration
Partnering with clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and international patient groups to maximise impact.
Hope
With calcilytic therapies advancing through clinical trials, a new era of cause-directed treatment is within reach.
Led by Experts, Driven by Patients
Our committee brings together clinical expertise, financial governance, and lived patient experience.
Expert Clinical Guidance
Our Medical Advisory Board provides independent expert guidance on clinical matters, research priorities, and patient information. The board is led by Prof Roderick Clifton-Bligh, an internationally recognised endocrinologist and researcher in calcium-sensing receptor disorders.
