The project aims to develop Indonesia’s knowledge sector, specifically the capacity to develop and use knowledge to inform policy development.

  • Project dates: 2013
  • Grants and funding: Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International

This project involves activities to develop:

  • The supply side by funding and providing technical assistance to a number of policy research institutes in Indonesia
  • The demand side by supporting government agencies to improve their ability to commission and use research evidence in policy making
  • Intermediaries, for example, think tanks and media organisations
  • The enabling environment, for example, procurement and recruitment regulations which make it difficult for government to engage with university researchers.
